National Minimum Wage

From 1st April 2024 the National Minimum and National Living Wage increase.

	21 and over	18 to 20	Under 18	Apprentice
	£         11.44	£         8.60	£        6.40	£         6.40

Apprentices:

Are entitled to the apprentice rate if they are aged under 19 and in their 1st year of apprenticeship

Are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they are over 19 and have completed their 1st year of apprenticeship

For example from 1st April 2024

Apprentice aged 18 and in their 1st year, their minimum wage would be £6.40

Apprentice aged 21 and in their 2nd year, their minimum wage would be £11.44
